Impartiality and bias in appointment of arbitrators - Jaipur Zilla Case

In Jaipur Zila Dugdh Utpadak Sahkari Sangh Limited vs. Ajay Sales & Suppliers (2021 SCC OnLine SC 730), the Supreme Court ruled on whether an interested party could be appointed as an arbitrator, in view of the provisions of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 [as amended by the Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Act of 2015] (‘the Act’).
