The present appeal, Gujarat UrjaVikas Nigam Limited vs. Amit Gupta &Ors.[2021 SCC OnLine SC 194], before the Hon’ble Supreme Court arises out of a decision of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) dated 15th October, 2019 which upheld the order of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT)dated 29th August, 2019 whereby the termination of a contract by the appellant (Gujarat UrjaVikas Nigam Limited) was stayed.
