On 28th April 2022, the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (hereinafter referred to as CERT-In) issued directions under section 70B (6) of the Informa- tion Technology Act, 2000 (hereinafter referred to as IT Act, 2000) relating to information security practices, pro- cedures, prevention, response, and reporting of cyber incidents for Safe & Trusted internet. These guidelines shall become effective after 60 days from the date of its notification. CERT-In is the nodal agency established under section 70B of the IT Act, 2000 for performing var- ious functions in the area of cyber security.
