On 28th October 2022, the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (“MEITY”) released the Amendment to the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021 (“Amendment 2022”). The aim of the Amendment 2022 was to meet the vision of the Government of providing the Open, Safe, Trusted, & Accountable Internet to the Digital Nagrik of India.
